Clovis East extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 4-1. They came out on top against the Kerman Lions by a score of 5-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Timberwolves also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2017.
Chloe Solis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Madeleine Larralde also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Clovis East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.
As for Kerman, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Kerman's side, Roxy Alvarez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Lee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Looking ahead, Clovis East will be taking part in a tournament against Highland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kerman, they have already played their next matchup, a 7-5 victory against Central East on the 2nd.
