Adna has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mossyrock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pirates will face off against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Adna has seven straight wins, Mossyrock has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Adna gave up the first runs last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Winlock. Fans of the Pirates have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Adna let Beau Miller and Luke Mohney run wild. Miller scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1, while Mohney scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Miller is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Cameron Nakano was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, Mossyrock lost a heartbreaker to Toutle Lake when they met on Friday, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Ducks, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since April 17, 2024.
Mossyrock saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Mitchell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Wylde Greisen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Adna's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Mossyrock, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Mossyrock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Adna hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .460. It's a different story for Mossyrock, though, as they've only averaged .190. Will they be able to contain Adna's hitters?
Everything went Adna's way against Mossyrock in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Adna made off with a 12-5 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
