Volleyball Game Preview: Walnut Ridge Scots vs. Big Walnut Golden Eagles

The Walnut Ridge Scots are taking a road trip to square off against the Big Walnut Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Back in April, Walnut Ridge came up short against West and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: West scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 19-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Big Walnut can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Westerville Central, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since April 1st.

Big Walnut was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-107), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 19-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Big Walnut, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
