Soccer Recap: Charlotte Christian Comes Up Short

Charlotte Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Providence Day Chargers. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Providence Day are ranked first).

Charlotte Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Providence Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-1-1 record this season.

Charlotte Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cannon on the 1st. As for Providence Day, they will face off against Charlotte Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlotte Latin will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Providence Day surely won't give up without a fight.
