            Volleyball Recap: West Valley Eagles vs. Woodcreek Timberwolves        
        
		
        
        
            West Valley lost against Woodcreek back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Eagles took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.
 Kelsey Morton paced West Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Morton were helped by Marlee Byxbe and  Kamea Simmons, who contributed seven assists each.
 Leading Woodcreek to victory were  Madison Walsh and  Jayden Morales.  Walsh  had 17  assists, while  Morales  had eight  assists and four  digs. Walsh is  on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's  played.
West Valley has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record  this season. As for Woodcreek, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 33-5 record  this season.
 West Valley and Woodcreek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Eagles will  challenge  Anderson  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday with a big rank  advantage  (284 vs. 1011). Meanwhile,  Woodcreek (ranked 37th) will meet Inderkum (ranked 358th)  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
