Basketball Recap: Goochland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Goochland came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 win over the Orange County Fighting Hornets on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Fighting Hornets two weeks ago, they had to take a 63-23 defeat.

The victory got Goochland back to even at 8-8. As for Orange County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goochland and Lunenburg Central will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Orange County, they will venture away from home to square off against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
