Chambers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the West Charlotte Lions a 2-0 shutout. Given Chambers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while West Charlotte are ranked 427th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chambers' victory bumped their record up to 11-5-3. As for West Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14-3 record this season.
