Softball Recap: Millburn Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Millburn had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the East Side Red Raiders on Thursday. Considering the Millers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Alexandra Bunch was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Barnett, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Millburn's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for East Side, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Millburn will square off against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Side, they will challenge West Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
