Soccer Game Preview: Memorial vs. Pryor

The Memorial Chargers are taking a road trip to square off against the Pryor Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Memorial came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Booker T. Washington, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Memorial's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Pryor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of East Central. That's two games in a row now that Pryor have lost by just one goal.

Pryor's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Memorial beat Pryor by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
