Football Recap: Aquilla Cougars vs. Abbott Panthers
It was a good run, but Aquilla unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They had to suffer through a 58-8 loss at the hands of the Abbott Panthers. The Cougars were red-hot offensively headed into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the nine matches prior) but the Panthers' defense proved too tough.

Burkeville is coming into the matchup with four straight victories on the road, so Aquilla will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Abbott, they will square off against Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Abbott's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
