Garces Memorial is a perfect 3-0 against East Bakersfield since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rams will look to defend their home court against the Blades at 6:30 p.m. Garces Memorial has given up an average of 52.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Bakersfield will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Garces Memorial extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Rams came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-60 W against Templeton. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, East Bakersfield lost to Mira Monte at home by a 54-36 margin on Monday. The Blades have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, East Bakersfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Benjamiin Bryant shot 53% from the field en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Jaiere Jones was another key player, putting up eight points.

East Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Garces Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Garces Memorial beat East Bakersfield 62-50 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Blades have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
