Basketball Recap: La Grange Extends Winning Streak to Four

La Grange waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Weimar Wildcats as they made off with a 66-45 victory. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Leading La Grange to victory were Campbell Cooper Sg 2027 and Kylie Trlicek. Cooper Sg 2027 dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards, while Trlicek went 8 of 20 on her way to 22 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Cooper Sg 2027 is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Collier, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

La Grange smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

La Grange is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Weimar, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Grange will host Taylor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weimar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ganado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
