East Stroudsburg South has gone a perfect 3-0 against Notre Dame recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cavaliers will take on the Spartans at 12:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
East Stroudsburg South had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Bangor on Thursday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Slaters with a sharp 14-4 win. That looming 14-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.

Aidan Cruz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Aaron Smith also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
East Stroudsburg South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Notre Dame and Lincoln Leadership Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 21-10 margin over the Lions. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Spartans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Lucas Vega made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Vega was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
In other batting news, Aidan Acosta was a standout: he scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Daniel Bordas, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-5.
East Stroudsburg South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. Notre Dame's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Everything went East Stroudsburg South's way against Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as East Stroudsburg South made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
