Football Recap: Oasis Christian Lions vs. Canterbury Crusaders        
        
		
             A  victory for Oasis Christian just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They lost  28-8 to the Canterbury Crusaders. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.
  Landon Gall picked up 11 receiving yards.  
 Christian Branning was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.  On the ground, 
 CJ Goldwire rushed for 59 yards.
 It was another big night for  Roman Wilder, who rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries for Canterbury. Those 253  rushing yards gave  Wilder a new career-high.  Jordan Battle was in the mix  as well, providing Canterbury with a touchdown.
 Oasis Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Canterbury, their win was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oasis Christian will play host again  on Friday to welcome The Classical Academy of Sarasota, where kickoff is scheduled  at 7:00  p.m. Oasis Christian is facing The Classical Academy of Sarasota at the right time seeing as The Classical Academy of Sarasota is stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. As for Canterbury, they will be playing at home against Lakeside Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Canterbury's defense has only allowed eight  points per game  this season, so Lakeside Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
