Jace Kent Delivers Best Effort of Season

Kirksville was led to victory by Jace Kent, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Kent rushed for 289 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 141 or more in the last five games he's played.

If the past is any indication, Kent could be in store for another big game when he takes on Fulton on Friday. Kent rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in October of 2023.

Peyton Hoover Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Mexico had to settle for second even though Peyton Hoover put up the best numbers he has all season. Hoover forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
