Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln managed to slip by Bishop Heelan Catholic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lynx lost 9-0 to the Crusaders on Tuesday. The Lynx were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Lincoln has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-26 record this season. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will face off against Sioux City North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Lynx's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, they will challenge Sioux City East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Black Raiders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
