Basketball Recap: Zephyrhills Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Zephyrhills lost against Wiregrass Ranch back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Zephyrhills Bulldogs took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls.

Leading Wiregrass Ranch to victory were Tennae Cabral and Andralee Keim. Cabral dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Keim went 5 for 8 on her way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Keim has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Anabella Nieves was another key player, putting up three points.

Zephyrhills' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills will take on Academy at the Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they and Gulf will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Tajinae Bonney and Keim.
