Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes Down Imagine School at North Port in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Admiral Farragut rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 64-55 victory over the Imagine School at North Port Sharks.

Admiral Farragut got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marco De Carvalho out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Admiral Farragut is 3-1 when De Carvalho posts eight or more rebounds, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gabe Tiesnesis, who went 7 for 14 en route to 19 points and five boards.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zahmir Jackson, who posted 17 points and six rebounds. The contest was Jackson's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Payton Mitchell was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Admiral Farragut now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Imagine School at North Port, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Admiral Farragut wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-47 victory against Bradenton Christian on the 7th. Imagine School at North Port does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
