Basketball Recap: East Grand Comes Up Short

East Grand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Madawaska Owls 91-22. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Owls are ranked 13th).

East Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Madawaska, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

East Grand will head out to square off against Wisdom at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madawaska, they will host Van Buren at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Madawaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
