Baseball Game Preview: Landstown Eagles vs. First Colonial Patriots

Landstown is 1-9 against First Colonial since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Landstown was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Hedgesville. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Landstown considering their two-run performance the match before.

Landstown let Colin Kim and Jordan Hunt run wild. Kim went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Hunt went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Patrick Warshaw also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, First Colonial waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cowboys a 9-0 shutout.

Landstown's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for First Colonial, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Landstown couldn't quite get it done against First Colonial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
