Marlee Sullivan commands the offense for Tigers win

Recap: Chipley Tigers vs. South Walton Seahawks

The Chipley Tigers won against the South Walton Seahawks last Monday with 40 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Chipley walked away with a 40-29 win over South Walton. The win was familiar territory for Chipley who now have four in a row.

Chipley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marlee Sullivan, who scored nine points along with four blocks and two steals. Sullivan is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Addyson Suggs, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

Chipley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for South Walton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Chipley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bay at 3:30 p.m. on January 26th. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while Chipley is ranked 175th). As for South Walton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marianna at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Marianna is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
