Basketball Game Preview: HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots vs. HEA Firebirds HomeSchool

The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots will face off against HEA Firebirds HomeSchool at 5:20 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, HomeSchool Resource Center came up short against Tournament Opponent and fell 49-40.

Despite the defeat, HomeSchool Resource Center saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noel Green dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Green's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Colon, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, HEA Firebirds HomeSchool put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 80-57 margin over Christ the King. HEA Firebirds HomeSchool has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

HEA Firebirds HomeSchool's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.4 points. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

HomeSchool Resource Center was dealt a bruising 63-31 defeat at the hands of HEA Firebirds HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can HomeSchool Resource Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
