Walsingham Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints a 4-0 shutout. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Walsingham Academy hit Nansemond-Suffolk Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Addie Sarantakos (2), Lucy Garrett, and Coco Liang.

Walsingham Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Norfolk Christian on the 14th. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Summit Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
