Recap: Springville Red Devils vs. Salem Hills Skyhawks
The Springville Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salem Hills. Springville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Salem Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Springville still got an impressive performance from Natalie Florence, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Johnson, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
It was another big night for Brooke Warren, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds for Salem Hills. Madi King was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Springville's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Salem Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Springville will be playing at home against Wasatch at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Wasatch is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Salem Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Maple Mountain at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Maple Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
