Mayfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-22.
Mayfield's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-19. As for Corinth, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
