Volleyball Game Preview: Panther Valley Panthers vs. Northwestern Lehigh Tigers

Panther Valley has won 11 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Northwestern Lehigh has won 11 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Panthers will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Panther Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Tri-Valley 3-0.

While Panther Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 28-26.

If North Schuylkill wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northwestern Lehigh, they should've done a better job of containing Lexi George. The Tigers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday thanks in part to George, who had 25 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 19 games she's played.

Northwestern Lehigh walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-16.

Panther Valley's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.

Everything went Panther Valley's way against Northwestern Lehigh in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as Panther Valley made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
