Baseball Recap: South Eugene Takes a Loss

South Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Grants Pass Cavemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Saturday.

Gino Humphrey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

South Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Grants Pass, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Eugene will face off against Willamette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grants Pass, they will take on Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
