Basketball Recap: Noah Mckinney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pusch Ridge Christian Academy over Palo Verde

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy was the 58-53 winner over Palo Verde when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions fell just short of the Palo Verde Titans by a score of 51-48 on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah McKinney, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Lambe, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and six blocks.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Palo Verde, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

When Pusch Ridge Christian Academy and Palo Verde next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will try to stop Pima's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. Similarly, Palo Verde will take on Sabino and their three-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
