Flag Football Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mountain View's offense. They were beaten by the Marana Tigers 30-0 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Emma Gibbons threw for 28 yards on five of 19 attempts.

Marana found their leader in freshman Isabella Garcia, who threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards.

Mountain View now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Marana, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Mountain View will square off against Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Mountain Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Marana, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Desert Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
