Volleyball Recap: North Tahoe Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, North Tahoe's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Yerington Lions by a score of 2-1. The Lakers were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, North Tahoe sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 15-5.

Makenna Larkins paced North Tahoe's offense, picking up four kills. Larkins got some help from Dawna Li and her four assists.

North Tahoe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Yerington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, North Tahoe will square off against Coral Academy of Science - Reno at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Lakers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Yerington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lowry on the 23rd.
