Volleyball Recap: Pickens Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pickens extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 23-4. They put the hurt on the Greer Yellow Jackets with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Among those leading the charge was Natalie Hunter, who had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 11 matchups. Charlee Abercombie also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

As for Greer, their loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 9th.

Sophia Petrillo and Adison Howard certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Petrillo had 26 digs and two assists, while Howard had 22 digs.

Pickens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Daniel on the 9th. As for Greer, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Blue Ridge on the 7th.
