Basketball Game Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Eastmark Firebirds

The Coronado Dons will square off against the Eastmark Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Coronado is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since December 6, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against Tempe as Coronado made off with a 49-24 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastmark). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat ALA - Queen Creek 83-12. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

The win (which was Eastmark's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.0 points per game. As for Coronado, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.
