Basketball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria lost against Deer Valley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Peoria Panthers had to suffer through a 72-37 loss at the hands of the Deer Valley Skyhawks. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Peoria has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Deer Valley, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peoria has already played their next match (against Coconino), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Deer Valley will be playing at home against Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
