Soccer Game Preview: Salem Academy vs. Dayton

Salem Academy is 0-9-1 against Dayton since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Crusaders will face off against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m.

Salem Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Western Christian with a sharp 3-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Salem Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Western Christian are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Dayton was forced to settle for a draw. They and Blanchet Catholic finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Salem Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Dayton's draw gives them a new season record of 7-0-1.
