Basketball Recap: Vandalia Christian Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Vandalia Christian had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took an 88-69 bruising from the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans. The contest was a 42-42 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

Triad Baptist Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Manley, who went 12-for-21 on his way to 26 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kayden Weyant, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

The victory (which was Triad Baptist Christian Academy's eighth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Coming up, Vandalia Christian will head out on the road to take on Gospel Light Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will host Northwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
