Baseball Recap: Bayside Gets the Win

Bayside won the last time they faced Cocoa and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bears walked away with a 10-5 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Johnny Good made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bayside is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-11 otherwise. Good was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Riley Ramroop was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Perri, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Bayside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Bayside's record now sits at 7-11. As for Cocoa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Cocoa will face off against Merritt Island Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayside will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' matchup: after the Tigers face off against the Cougars, they'll take on Bayside again at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
