Soccer Recap: Pueblo Central Comes Up Short

Pueblo Central's game on Monday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Lamar Thunder by a score of 4-3.

Owen Bensko and Chaz Escajeda scored all three of Pueblo Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Pueblo Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4-1 record this season. As for Lamar, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Pueblo Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Pueblo East on the 30th. As for Lamar, they are taking a road trip to square off against Canon City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
