Preview: Gayville-Volin Raiders vs. Flandreau Indian Indians

After two games on the road, Gayville-Volin is heading back home. They will take on the Flandreau Indian Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flandreau Indian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gayville-Volin, who comes in off a win.

Gayville-Volin put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Freeman Academy/Marion 47-19 on the road.

Gayville-Volin found their leader in underclassman Jolie Westrum, who scored 12 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Westrum has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maia Achen, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Flandreau Indian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Freeman Academy/Marion at home by a decisive 34-18 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Flandreau Indian has scored all season.

Gayville-Volin has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Flandreau Indian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
