Basketball Recap: Essex Takes a Loss

Essex lost against Lancaster back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Essex Trojans took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancaster Red Devils. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Essex and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Lancaster, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Essex won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Surry County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lancaster, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Legacy Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Legacy Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Lancaster likes a good challenge.
