Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Spartans vs. Belleville Tigers

Stevenson hasn't had much luck against Belleville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Stevenson Spartans will welcome the Belleville Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Stevenson took a blow against Dearborn, falling 83-42. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Pioneers are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, Belleville came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Tractors 64-30. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Belleville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Stevenson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
