The Lake County Falcons will head out to challenge the Dresden Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Lake County took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Fulton City 19-1. The Falcons have beaten the Bulldogs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

McKensi Hays made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Hays was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lake County let Mariah Valentine and Caren Johnson run wild. Valentine scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Johnson went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Johnson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tara Boyd, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.
Lake County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .870. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Dresden was able to grind out a solid win over Westview on Monday, taking the game 7-3.
Caylin Boaz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Gracie Adams was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Emma Parham was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Lake County's record now sits at 3-9. As for Dresden, their record is now 8-11.
Lake County suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Dresden in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
