Softball Game Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Carmi-White County Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Flora will face off against Carmi-White County. The Wolves will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Flora and Carmi-White County, and Carmi-White County kept the tradition alive. The Wolves lost 7-1 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

For Carmi-White County's part, Lindsay Simmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Torrie Rider, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Ashlynn Rager was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Flora's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Carmi-White County, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
