The Royal Falcons will head out to take on the Almeta Crawford Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Royal comes in on three and Almeta Crawford on seven.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Royal duked it out with Fort Bend Willowridge on Friday. Royal blew past Fort Bend Willowridge 19-10. 19 seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Emilo Torres made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Royal is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-4-1 otherwise. Torres was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Steven Barley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Micah Kucera also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Royal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Almeta Crawford got themselves on the board against Huntsville on Saturday, but Huntsville never followed suit. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-0.
TJ Weaver tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Almeta Crawford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Anderson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Johnny Garcia was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Almeta Crawford pushed their record up to 14-3-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Royal, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
