Crescent's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Ninety Six Wildcats 59-21. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Crescent's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Evans led the charge by throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 57 yards and one TD on only seven carries. The Tigers' leading receiver Amiri Acker was Evans' top target yet again, picking up 84 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 49 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crescent was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 369 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 289 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

The win got Crescent back to even at 2-2. As for Ninety Six, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Crescent will face off against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ninety Six, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pelion at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
