Baseball Recap: Bob Hope's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bob Hope's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Texas Christian Tigers 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Tigers back in April, they had to take a 10-9 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Federico Chapa, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Chavez, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Bob Hope's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Texas Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Bob Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-10 win against Waco Christian on the 8th. Hopefully Texas Christian paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
