Baseball Recap: Center's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Center suffered their closest defeat since April 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wheatland Pirates by a score of 8-6. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anthony Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Center fell to 6-1-1. As for Wheatland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 win against Winters on the 20th. Hopefully Center payed attention to Wheatland's contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Wheatland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
