Baseball Recap: Gilroy Gets the Win

Gilroy won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. Gilroy came out on top against Oak Grove by a score of 14-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The team relied heavily on Brennan Neander, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Gilroy is 2-1 when Neander posts three or more hits, but 4-5 otherwise. Evan Passama was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Neander wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Gilroy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. Gilroy is 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
