Baseball Recap: Naugatuck Takes a Loss

Naugatuck couldn't beat Seymour on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. Greyhounds fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Saturday.

Damon Abate made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Naugatuck's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Naugatuck nor Seymour have any future games scheduled.
