Baseball Recap: Paxton Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Paxton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Pleasant Home Eagles on Tuesday. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Trevor Varnum was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Asher Jones was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Paxton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Paxton's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant Home, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
