Basketball Recap: Lakota West Takes a Loss

Lakota West was the 47-39 winner over Oak Hills when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakota West Firebirds fell just short of the Oak Hills Highlanders by a score of 30-28 on Friday. The match marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Ava Kammerer, who went 5 of 7 en route to 19 points and three steals for Oak Hills.

Lakota West's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Oak Hills, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Lakota West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-25 win against Conner on the 28th. As for Oak Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-9 victory against Western Hills on the 27th.
